The Move-Out Deep Clean Checklist Landlords Actually Use

Room by room, the exact list our teams work through on an end-of-tenancy clean so deposits come back in full and handovers stay stress free.

The Move-Out Deep Clean Checklist Landlords Actually Use

A move-out clean is judged against a landlord inventory report, not against everyday tidiness. Here is the checklist our residential teams follow.

Kitchen

  • Oven interior, racks, door glass and extractor filters degreased
  • Fridge and freezer emptied, defrosted and sanitised
  • Cupboards cleaned inside and out, handles polished
  • Splashbacks descaled, sink and taps polished

Bathrooms

  • Limescale removed from tiles, screens, taps and shower heads
  • Grout scrubbed and disinfected
  • Extractor vents dusted, mirrors streak-free

Living spaces and bedrooms

  • Skirting boards, door frames and switch plates wiped
  • Inside of wardrobes and drawers cleaned
  • Carpets vacuumed and spot-treated, hard floors mopped
  • Internal windows, sills and tracks cleaned

The bits people forget

Radiator backs, the top of door frames, bin storage areas, garage floors and the letterbox. These are the items that most often appear on a deduction list.

Book it for the right day

Schedule the clean after furniture removal and before the check-out inspection. We can usually fit a full property in a single day with a two to four person team.
